HFU660UY400J is a high-flow coreless filter cartridge belonging to the 60-inch Ultipleat UY series. Different from medium and fine precision filter elements, this model adopts 400μm ultra-coarse filtration rating, focusing on primary raw water impurity interception and large-load pretreatment protection. With 6-inch large outer diameter and 1524mm ultra-long body, the filter greatly expands the effective filtration area and dirt holding capacity, suitable for water environments with high sediment and high turbidity.
The whole filter adopts coreless hollow design and single open-end inside-to-outside filtration structure. The filter media is high-strength gradient polypropylene pleated material with excellent anti-blocking performance. All connections are thermally welded without adhesive to avoid secondary pollution. The integrated reinforced polypropylene handle supports fast tool-free replacement. Standard EPDM seal is equipped, with silicone, Buna-N and FKM optional for various corrosive and high-temperature working conditions. It is the optimal primary pretreatment filter element for large-scale water treatment systems.
Working Principle
HFU660UY400J high flow filter cartridge follows the mature inside-to-outside radial filtration principle. Raw water with high-concentration coarse impurities enters the inner cavity from the top opening and flows outward through multi-layer crescent overlapping pleated media. Large particles such as gravel, thick sediment, rust scale and large suspended solids are quickly intercepted on the inner and middle filter layers.
The unique open crescent pleat structure ensures unobstructed fluid passage, effectively avoiding rapid blockage under high turbidity raw water conditions. The ultra-large dirt holding capacity prolongs the service cycle significantly. After primary purification, the water flows out from the outer wall of the filter cartridge and enters the secondary fine filtration system.
