The CPI-1030 UF Module is a high-performance ultrafiltration membrane unit engineered to serve as a direct replacement for the LITREE CPI-1030 module. Designed for municipal, industrial, and commercial water treatment systems, this module is built around hydrophilic PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) hollow fiber membranes that provide outstanding mechanical strength, superior chemical resistance, and long-lasting filtration performance.
Fully compatible with the LITREE CPI-1030 in both form and function, this UF module offers easy integration into existing systems without retrofitting, ensuring a seamless transition while improving water quality and operational efficiency.
Working Principle
The CPI-1030 UF Module operates using the outside-in hollow fiber ultrafiltration method. It filters contaminants from feedwater by physically blocking particles larger than the membrane's pore size.
Filtration Process Overview:
1. Feedwater enters the outside of the hollow fibers (shell side).
2. Water permeates through the membrane wall, leaving behind particles, bacteria, and other suspended solids.
3. Purified water collects inside the hollow fibers (lumen) and is directed to the permeate outlet.
4. Regular backwashing and air scouring help dislodge accumulated foulants and maintain performance.
This physical separation process ensures a stable supply of high-quality water, even in the presence of challenging feedwater conditions.
