Working Principle

The LH3-0660-V module operates on the outside-in hollow fiber ultrafiltration principle, utilizing a physical barrier to remove contaminants through membrane pores with a nominal size of 0.03 microns.

Filtration Process Overview:

1.    Feedwater Entry:
Untreated or pre-filtered water enters the module shell and surrounds the hollow fiber membranes.

2.    Separation by Pore Size:
Water is forced by pressure through the outer membrane surface into the hollow fiber's core. Suspended solids, bacteria, algae, and high molecular weight organics are rejected.

3.    Collection of Permeate:
Clean water exits through the center of the fibers and flows out via the permeate outlet.

4.    Backwashing & Cleaning:
Periodic backflushing and chemical cleaning help dislodge fouling material and maintain membrane flux over time.

The LH3-0660-V achieves high removal rates of particulate and microbial contaminants while maintaining high flux and low transmembrane pressure.
