Column Ultrafiltration Membrane Module Uot-865 Uot-880
Introduction:Ultrafiltration (UF) is a purification process that separates particulate matter from soluble compounds using an ultrafine membrane media. Ultrafiltration is an excellent separation technology for desalination pretreatment, reverse osmosis pretreatment, and wastewater reclamation, as well as for producing potable water.

Ultrafiltration membranes are pressure-driven membranes. They are mainly composed of polymers such as cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate esters, polyethylene, polysulfone, and polyamide. Typically, they consist of a very thin, dense outer layer and a porous support layer beneath it. The dense outer layer is the functional layer, responsible for filtering and retaining contaminants. Depending on the manufacturing process, the dense outer layer can be on the inner or outer surface of the fibers, or both.
Ultrafiltration membranes refer to microporous filtration membranes with uniform pore size, ranging from 0.001 to 0.02 micrometers. Currently, ultrafiltration membranes have reached the third generation, which is an improvement and innovation based on the first and second generations. This third generation is a zirconium-alumina membrane, resistant to temperatures up to 400ºC, with a membrane thickness of 0.1 μm, consisting of a porous gel attached to a porous support plate 100-1000 μm thick. Compared to traditional separation methods, ultrafiltration technology is safer, more efficient, and energy-saving.
