Types of UF Membranes:
Hollow Fiber Membranes: These are commonly used and consist of many tiny, hair-like fibers with pores on their walls. Water can flow either inside or outside the fibers, with permeate exiting through the opposite side.
Spiral Wound Membranes: These are made from flat sheet membranes wrapped around a central tube. Water flows between the membrane sheets, and permeate spirals inward to the central tube.
Tubular Membranes: These consist of tubes with porous walls, through which water flows.
Plate and Frame Membranes: These use flat sheet membranes stacked between support plates.
