This basket strainer filter is a reliable water filter housing type strainer, often matched with self-cleaning filter to build a complete pipeline filtration solution. It is designed to trap small solid contaminants inside the removable filter basket. When fluid flows through the basket screen, impurities such as rust, sand and granular debris are intercepted, while clean liquid flows out from the outlet. The main body is available in carbon steel or stainless steel 201, 304, 316. The sealing options include nitrile rubber, fluororubber and oil-resistant asbestos. The filter adopts flange connection. For maintenance, users only need to open the top cover, take out the filter basket for cleaning, then reinstall it back, without complicated disassembly of the whole pipeline. It is an economical pre-filter for upstream equipment protection.
Working Principle
Liquid medium flows into the strainer from the inlet and enters the internal filter basket. Solid impurities are captured on the inner surface of the basket screen. Clean liquid passes through the screen and exits from the outlet. As dirt accumulates inside the basket, the pressure difference rises. Stop the pipeline flow, open the top cover, lift out the basket, clean or replace it, then put it back into service to keep the pipeline system unobstructed.
