Manual Brush Type Self Cleaning Filter for Industrial Circulating Water Treatment
Introduction:Manual brush type self cleaning filter is a semi-automatic pipeline filter widely used for circulating water purification. It can work with water filter housing, self-cleaning filter in multi-stage filtration systems, removing suspended debris without shutting down the water flow. It adopts wedge wire screen and nylon brush structure, featuring simple operation and energy saving for steel, power, petrochemical and irrigation water treatment projects.

Product Introduction
This manual brush type filter is a practical self-cleaning filter that can be integrated with water filter housing in water treatment pipelines. Its shell is made of high-quality carbon steel, and stainless steel housing is available upon request. The cleaning assembly consists of reinforced nylon brushes and stainless steel brush frames, while the filter screen is precision stainless steel wedge wire screen. Compared with perforated plates or woven mesh, wedge wire screen is easier to release captured contaminants and prevents screen damage during brushing. The cleaning operation only needs to rotate the external hand crank. The built-in brush scrapes off dirt and particles from the screen surface, then waste is discharged via the blowdown valve. The core advantage is that cleaning can be carried out online without cutting off flow, which will not interrupt the normal operation of upstream and downstream equipment.
Working Principle

Raw water flows into the filter through the inlet, and solid impurities are trapped on the surface of the internal wedge wire screen. Clean water flows out from the outlet. When the pressure difference rises, the operator turns the external hand crank to drive the built-in brush frame. The nylon brushes rotate and scrub the screen surface to strip off accumulated sludge and particles. The loosened contaminants are discharged through the blowdown valve, and the whole process runs under continuous water flow without system shutdown.

FAQ
Q1: Does this filter need power supply for cleaning?
A: No, it is manually driven by hand crank, no motor or extra power source needed.
Q2: Can cleaning be done without stopping the water flow?
A: Yes, online cleaning is supported, and the pipeline system can keep running continuously.
Q3: What is the difference between wedge wire screen and ordinary mesh screen?
A: Wedge wire screen has smooth surface, debris is easier to be brushed off, and it is not easy to be damaged during brushing.
Q4: What pressure grades are available?
A: The nominal pressure range covers 0.6 MPa to 4.0 MPa for different pipeline requirements.
Q5: How to select the right mesh size?
A: The mesh number is determined according to the particle size of impurities and the process requirements of the system.
