Precautions for backwashing filters

Installation Guidelines

  1. Specification Matching:

    • Select filters compatible with pipeline dimensions. If flow capacity is insufficient, install multiple filters in parallel or use bypass filtration.

  2. Optimal Placement:

    • Install near the pressure source to avoid low inlet pressure. Prioritize proximity to protected system components.

  3. Piping Configuration:

    • Install in series with main pipelines. Include a bypass line with shutoff ball valves (inlet/outlet/bypass) for uninterrupted supply during maintenance. Add a check valve at the outlet if backflow risks exist.

  4. Temperature Limits:

    • Ensure fluid temperature does not exceed the filter’s rated tolerance.

  5. Power & Drainage:

    • Provide 380V three-phase AC power (three-phase, four-wire). Limit drain pipe length to ≤5 meters to prevent backpressure.

  6. System-Specific Considerations:

    • DC systems: Prioritize precision, pretreatment, and pressure control.

    • Intermittent systems: Avoid timer-controlled models.

  7. Environmental Protection:

    • Ensure installation sites are dry, waterproof, and moisture-resistant.

Long-Term Shutdown Protocol

  • Before seasonal/offline periods, inject corrosion inhibitors into the system and maintain wet layup protection to minimize corrosion.

Operational Steps

  1. Pre-Start Checks:

    • Confirm filter is in ready state.

    • Inspect all connections for tightness.

    • Ensure electrical control box is dry.

  2. Power-Up:

    • Connect power; a green indicator confirms operational readiness.

Critical Notes:

  • Maintain dry hands when handling electrical components.

  • Prevent water ingress into the control box during operation.

The system is factory-calibrated. Adjust parameters (manual/auto modes) only if operational needs deviate from default settings.
