Working Principle

The rotary rake bar screen operates with continuous cyclic rotation. The rake teeth capture and intercept solid floating contaminants carried in sewage. When the trapped waste is conveyed upward to the top of the equipment, the moving direction of rake teeth reverses, and most solid waste falls down by gravity. The residual contaminants sticking on the rake teeth are scraped off by the rubber brush of the cleaning mechanism through reverse rotation. When overload occurs, the spring will be compressed and trigger the proximity switch, which cuts off the motor power and stops the machine to avoid structural damage. By continuously removing large debris, this front-end bar screen greatly reduces the risk of clogging for downstream pumps, valves and MBR or filter cartridge systems.

No extra large workshop is required. It can be directly installed at the water inlet of pump stations and sewage treatment lines.
