A northern Siberian gas gathering station handles 2.8 million m³ gas daily. Extracted natural gas carries formation fine sand, condensate oil and rust. Simple original screens have low precision, solid impurities abrade downstream compressor impellers, requiring compressor disassembly & maintenance every 2 months with heavy revenue loss from suspended gas sales.No automatic sewage structure leads to extremely difficult manual cover-opening sewage operation in frigid weather with surging winter labor costs. Ordinary carbon steel equipment rusts rapidly under low temperature & high humidity, requiring 4 annual overhauls. Impurities and condensate block molecular sieve dehydration units with high dehydrant consumption and high operation costs. Client requirements: low-temperature resistance, explosion-proof, fully automatic online blowdown, high precision for compressor protection and extreme cold adaptation.

3 sets of LF-TQ natural gas filters are installed in parallel at the station.

Pressure cylinders adopt special low-temperature alloy steel for stable operation at -40℃ with explosion-proof grade Ex d II BT4. Two-stage internal filtration: primary vane separator removes condensate liquid, secondary 10μm metal filter cartridges trap solid dust for dual purification of natural gas.The equipment adopts dual-signal automatic blowdown system triggered by differential pressure & liquid level. Sewage valve opens automatically when differential pressure reaches 0.12MPa or liquid hits preset height, finishing liquid & slag discharge within 25 seconds while the other two units maintain uninterrupted gas supply to gathering pipelines. Heat tracing & insulation pipelines prevent valve icing; explosion-proof PLC cabinet connects to station remote central control to upload differential pressure, blowdown records and cartridge status. Full equipment passes low-temperature anti-corrosion & explosion-proof tests and is shipped to Russian ports within 9 days.

Two-stage separation removes oil & solid impurities simultaneously to sharply reduce fouling of compressors and molecular sieves;
Fully automatic online blowdown eliminates manual on-site operation in extreme cold and greatly lowers winter maintenance difficulty;
Low-temperature alloy steel cylinder + heat tracing system prevents equipment icing & rusting, cutting overhaul frequency by 75%;
Parallel design with 1 unit working & 2 standby ensures stable gas sales volume during single-unit blowdown without supply interruption;
Full explosion-proof configuration adapts to high-risk natural gas working conditions and meets local Russian oil & gas safety standards.
Stable operation for 14 months with 97% removal rate of solid impurities in natural gas. Compressor maintenance cycle extends from 2 months to 6 months, cutting annual suspended sales loss by 1.1 million USD. Automatic blowdown removes winter manual field work, reducing local maintenance staff to 1 and saving 38,000 USD labor cost yearly. Molecular sieve blockage drops drastically, dehydrant consumption cuts by 65% and saving 420,000 USD yearly on chemical procurement. This natural gas filter perfectly adapts to Siberian extreme cold gas field conditions and becomes a benchmark filtration project for Eastern European oil & gas stations.
