Oil-water separation is a very complicated process, and the use effect of the oil-water separation filter element is mainly affected by the following factors:

1. Material: In the process of demulsification and coalescence, fine lipophilic fibers should be used. Fibers that are too thin have no supporting force, and fibers that are too thick cannot break the emulsion of small droplets. The lipophilic fiber material can adhere and coalesce the oil droplets that have just cut the foam. In the separation step, the super-hydrophilic fiber material is used, and the super-hydrophilic fiber forms a firm water film. When the fine oil particles come with the water, the firm water film prevents the passage of the oil droplets, which plays a role in separation. Effect. A side effect is increased resistance to the system.

2. Temperature: The same filter has different separation effects on different liquids. The filtering effect is very good in Henan (high temperature), but not in the northeast (low temperature). Diesel oil and water can be separated at a temperature of 2°C. However, edible oil and water must be separated at a temperature greater than 16°C. When the temperature of oily wastewater rises to 70°C to 75°C, the viscosity of the oil is changed, that is to say, the density difference between oil and water is small, and the stability of the emulsion is destroyed to achieve the effect of demulsification.


3. Flow rate: The flow rate is an important parameter for oil-water separation, the faster the flow rate, the worse the treatment effect. The common feature of oil-water separation is to work at low flow rates. Solid-liquid separation filter element made of lipophilic and hydrophobic 3-5μm fine fibers. The flow rate (speed through the surface of the filter material) works best only at 0.03-0.05 M/min. In this case, it not only plays the role of solid-liquid separation, but also produces demulsification and coalescence. And the separated oil is also very clean.

4. Impurities: Suspended substances in the water block the filter element, the flow channel becomes smaller, and the blockage of the oil-water separation filter element reduces the collision probability of oil droplets and coalescing materials and affects the effect of liquid-liquid separation. Therefore, a solid-liquid separation stage is added in front Separate pre-filter, only for separating solid particles. The flow rate of this solid-liquid separation pre-filter can be 0.2-0.3M/min.


5. PH value: When PH ≥ 9, oil-water separation will be difficult. The PH value becomes acidic and easy to separate. Some companies acidify the liquid to PH ≤ 2 by adding medicine. After the oil-water separation filter separates the oil and water, the medicine is restored to neutrality.
